This is one of the best places on the tour for your guide to take a photo of the two of you together.

Marin Headlands

Once across the bridge, we'll head toward the spectacular viewpoints of the Marin Headlands when traffic, weather and conditions cooperate.

This is the place for those giant, postcard-worthy views looking back toward the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco.

On a clear day, it's hard to beat. On a foggy day, it's pure San Francisco.

Palace of Fine Arts

One of the prettiest places in the city and a favorite couples photo stop.

Built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, the Palace of Fine Arts features a towering classical rotunda, lagoon and dramatic columns.

It looks romantic without us having to try very hard.

The Presidio

Drive through one of San Francisco's most beautiful areas — a former U.S. Army post that is now part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

Depending on your route, you may pass through scenic areas around Crissy Field, Marina Green, Presidio overlooks and Golden Gate viewpoints.

It's one of the best places in the city for views without the downtown crowds.

Lombard Street

Yep, the crooked one.

When traffic and road conditions allow, your Jeep can actually drive down the famous curves of Lombard Street.

It's ridiculous, iconic and exactly the kind of thing that's more fun in a Jeep.

Fisherman's Wharf & the Waterfront

Your adventure starts in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf, surrounded by fishing boats, historic piers, sea lions, seafood restaurants and San Francisco Bay.

From here, we'll head into the city rather than simply watching it go by from a giant bus window.

Your Jeep Tour is a sightseeing experience, so we'll see lots of attractions along the way but generally do not go inside museums or ticketed attractions.

Tours depart from Fisherman's Wharf at Hyde & Jefferson Streets, using the passenger loading area on the Hyde Street side near the Argonaut Hotel.

Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before your scheduled departure.

Tours are conducted in English.
This special product is designed for two guests traveling together.
Guests must be age 3 or older.
Child and booster seats are available by advance request.
The Jeep is not wheelchair accessible.
We cannot accommodate full-size wheelchairs, walkers, large luggage or bulky strollers.
Tours operate in typical San Francisco weather, including fog, wind and light rain.
In wet weather, Jeeps may operate with a soft top or hard top.
Routes can change because of traffic, road closures, special events, weather or other conditions.
Lombard Street and Marin Headlands stops are subject to traffic and access conditions.
Tours canceled at least 24 hours before departure are refundable.
Same-day cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.
Late arrivals may result in a shortened tour and cannot always be rescheduled.

This full-day tour offers the best of both worlds: a serene morning among towering redwoods and a lively afternoon exploring the iconic sights of San Francisco. We customize the route based on your preferences and tour length, ensuring a perfect day for your group. Depart from Fisherman’s Wharf or upgrade for hotel pickup.

Tour Itinerary

• Morning: Muir Woods & Marin County

  • Start with a drive over the Golden Gate Bridge into beautiful Marin County.
  • Explore the towering redwoods at Muir Woods National Monument. This portion is self-guided, with 45 minutes to 1 hour to wander through the majestic forest.
  • Make a quick stop at Muir Beach Overlook for breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. On clear days, you can even see the Farallon Islands in the distance.

• Lunch: Sausalito

  • Stop for an early lunch in the charming bayside town of Sausalito. You’ll have around an hour to explore and dine at one of the town’s excellent restaurants (lunch cost not included). Your guide will be happy to provide recommendations.

• Afternoon: San Francisco City Tour

  • After lunch, enjoy a three-hour San Francisco city tour covering many of the city’s iconic landmarks, including:
    • Fisherman’s Wharf
    • Union Square
    • Presidio
    • Golden Gate Park

    • Lombard Street (traffic permitting)
