Our private scallop charters are designed for families, first-timers, and experienced watermen alike. You’ll head out with Captain Scotty, a USCG-licensed and insured captain, who keeps the day safe, smooth, and enjoyable from start to finish. Trips typically begin between 7:00 and 9:00 AM, giving you the best conditions on the water.

After a scenic ride out from King’s Bay, you’ll arrive in the shallow, clear Gulf waters where scallops thrive. This is where the fun begins. Floating on the surface with a mask and snorkel, you’ll spot scallops resting in the seagrass below—an easy, interactive experience often compared to an underwater treasure hunt. The water is calm, shallow, and ideal for all comfort levels.

If you’re new to snorkeling, you’re in good hands. We provide clear, simple instruction and in-water guidance so you feel confident and supported the entire time. Our setup prioritizes safety and ease—guests are encouraged to float with support, move at their own pace, and stay close to the group.

This is a full-day experience, giving you time to settle in and enjoy the rhythm of the water. Between scalloping spots, you’ll have time to relax on the boat, enjoy your food and drinks, and take in the open Gulf views. Depending on conditions and your group’s preference, your day can also include optional fishing or a visit toward the springs, adding even more variety to your adventure.

As the day winds down, the experience comes full circle. Captain Scotty prepares fresh scallop ceviche right on board—a highlight for many guests and the perfect way to enjoy what you’ve gathered. It’s simple, fresh, and shared together on the water.
