Led by a local Utah comedian, this tour combines real history, local culture, famous landmarks, and plenty of laughs as we explore what makes Salt Lake City unlike anywhere else in the country.
We’ll dive into the story of Utah—from its Indigenous history and pioneer settlement to the arrival of Brigham Young and the growth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Along the way, we’ll explore Mormon culture, Utah demographics, local traditions, and some of the quirks that leave visitors scratching their heads.
Why are Salt Lake City’s streets so ridiculously wide? What’s the deal with Utah liquor laws? Why does everyone seem to be drinking enormous sodas? What exactly are funeral potatoes? And just how much of what you’ve heard about Mormons is actually true?
As we explore the city, you’ll see many of Salt Lake’s best-known landmarks, including Temple Square, the Utah State Capitol, historic South Temple and the Governor’s Mansion, along with the foothills and historic areas surrounding the city.
But this isn’t your typical sightseeing tour.
Our comedians are encouraged to bring their own personalities, stories, crowd work, and perspective to every trip. That means no two tours are exactly the same.
And despite the name, this isn’t an anti-Mormon tour—or a pro-Mormon tour. We’re here to laugh with Utah, not just at it. You’ll hear the good, the strange, the complicated, and the genuinely fascinating stories that have shaped this place.
